https://i0.wp.com/i688.photobucket.com/albums/vv242/M4tth3wpics/levelup.gif

Darkroot is almost finished with his class, so we’ll be working super fast from there on! I believe it ends August 8th, whoo!

I’ve finished up a lot of foliage for Summer and Spring, I’ll be releasing the file with all of it after I polish it up.

Day 51

Day 51

Alright, so yesterday I put up my first poster on a nearby street! I didn’t end up getting it laminated, so I’m not sure how it is going to last… I’ll be checking on it every couple days, plus putting some more up. I’ll be sure to post some final results soon.  :)

Also, Fluidvolt is in the process of making a track for a Winter setting, check out what he has so far!

You should make a Facebook fan-page for the game

Ah, that’s a good idea, I’ll look into it.

Update: QR Code Information (For Those Who Don’t Know About the Game)

Update: QR Code Information

(If you were directed to this website via QR code)

Some of you here were directed here by a QR code, put up in the streets of a city in Florida. The posters may be very similar to those ones below.

Some info for all of you directed here by the QR code and haven’t heard about Guanxi is below.

Guanxi is a flash based-game in the making. Darkroot is coding the game, ProfessorOak is the graphics man for the game (also the one that made the QR posters), and Fluidvolt is making the music for the game. The project started on Jun 10. ’11 with just one piece of artwork displayed, that was just a place-holder there was much work to be done.

The name for the game as a true meaning behind it as I’ll quote,

First I came up with was ‘Pinnacle’. No apparent reason, it just hit me, and I thought it sounded neat.

Second one is ‘Guanxi’. It kind of sums up the game itself. Definition: “In traditional Chinese society, you would build up good guanxi by giving gifts to people, taking them to dinner, or doing them a favor, but you can also use up your guanxi by asking for a favour to be repaid.”

Since the game is all about doing tasks for people, it sort of makes sense. -ProfessorOak

If you have anymore questions please feel free to post a comment below and it will be answered as quickly as possible.

When Will the Game Come Out?

Was a question someone asked on a forum site. We now have an idea of when the game will come out. As ProfessorOak said and I’ll quote,

I cannot put an exact date on it, but I’d say in the next two-three months maybe? Depends how hard we work, really. You can check up on this thread every once and a while to see how the development is going, though.
Thanks for your interest!

So that gives us an idea of when they will get done. Because everyone wants to know when it will come out.

Guanxi a Flash Game

Welcome to the Guanxi game blog where I’ll give you updates on the game and how it is coming along. I writing this is not making the game. One of the makers allowed me to make this. If you’re wondering what you do in this game read the quotes below.

The general idea of this game is about the little adventurer that runs around doing deeds for his fellow villagers. His village is comprised of separate islands, that are linked with bridges. There really is nowinning, it’s basically just to have fun adventuring.
I’m still deciding whether there should be enemies, but I know for a fact weapons will not be a feature. Maybe jumping on their heads to kill them, I will come to a conclusion soon.
For every deed you accomplish, you will earn XP. After a certain amount of XP gained, you’ll rank up. For every few ranks, you will be able to explore more islands and villages, which, brings more tasks to complete.
Some of these tasks might include fishing, or even finding a lost pet. The list is endless, really. – ProfessorOak

Darkroot is coding the game using Flash. ProfessorOak is the game designer who makes all the designs for the game. Fluidvolt is making the music for the game, you can listen to some music buy clicking this ^ or click this. That’s only two pieces of music but more will be added to the game.
